It was a long time coming but the new website is finally here, thanks for stopping by. We’re glad that you found us and I hope that you find the information on our association site helpful. Fire education is important, the more you know about it the safer you live. We have put together some great reference material to help you expand your knowledge about fire safety and prevention.
Over the last 20 to 30 years fires have evolved into faster burning, higher temperature fires. This is in large part due to the changes in construction materials and techniques. It’s becoming more and more important to practice good fire prevention habits, ensure that smoke/CO alarms are functioning and that escape plans and exit strategies have been discussed. I am a huge fan of interconnected smoke alarms because they decrease the amount of time before the occupants are alerted when the fire is compartmentalized away from where they are located.
